Pastor Krishna David Paraiyar is the Founder of Feet Ministries of Nepal, the Senior Pastor of New Life Church, the Founder Principal of New Life Missionary Training Centre, the President of Nepal Children Welfare Association and a mission partner of Life Church, Horncastle.

Pastor Krishna was born in the District of Gorkha, Nepal into a low caste Hindu family. During his school days, he began to question the values. The idea of separating a man from a man, discriminating against the lower caste and honoring the upper, didn’t make sense to him. He didn’t quite get the idea of worshipping gods who created all human beings superior than the other creatures, yet being discriminated as an outcast to the society.  Pastor Krishna gives this as an example of the sort of discrimination the low caste people face ‘I struggled and had to suffer a lot even in my school life. I still remembers those days when I had to look for the so-called upper caste to pour water unto my mouth from a far distance when I gets thirsty, keeping in mind he doesn’t touch me or the pot in anyway. Once in a hot summer, body extremely dehydrated, I kept looking for an upper caste but couldn’t find any. So, I dared to drink water direct from the pot. But as I was proceeding to go for it, a Brahmin (most high upper caste) kid saw me and reported to the head teacher of that time. The teacher bruised me badly with sticks and warned my father to never send me to school anymore. The teacher threw the pot away saying that it was untouchable thereafter, and replaced it with a new pot.’

In 1989, Pastor Krishna had an encounter with Jesus when he went with a friend to church because he was curious about other religions. Pastor Krishna has gone on to study theology in Nepal, America and the UK. One night, in a dream he saw many people carrying heavy loads by themselves, climbing the mountains without any shoes or a sandals to cover their feet. He asked God in the dream the meaning of what he had seen. God reminded him of a verse from the Book of Isaiah; ‘How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaim peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns”. He woke up and was reminded of the people with no transportation, who had to walk for a week at least to travel from one village to another. He was reminded of how people climbed mountains and hills, who were not fortunate to hear of the gospel yet. That was that, and he knew that his feet were created to spread the gospel to the unreached. Feet Ministry of Nepal was born. This ministry takes the Gospel to the hard to reach places in Nepal. It has planted over 200 churches in rural areas and opened New Life Missionary Training center, helping the blind and the disabled. They have opened orphanages and started the Nepalese Government approved NGO Nepal Children Welfare Association (NCWA)
